Jessica Leafstone

Jessica Leafstone is a Crime Scene Specialist for the Tucson Police Department where she photographs crime scenes and processes for forensic evidence. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Arizona where she focused on sculpting. Throughout college she enjoyed working with clay and metal. After graduating she became a substitute teacher, and as a long-term substitute teacher she taught beginning 2-Dimensional Art to high school students. She began working for TPD in 2015; and from November 2018 through January 2019 Jessica completed 40 hours of composite drawing training with the former department’s Composite Artist, Phyllis Gasparro. In addition, Jessica attended the Basic Law Enforcement Composite Course with Stuart Parks Forensic Associates in February 2019. As a child Jessica lived in Mexico and is fluent in Spanish. Crime Scene Specialists Jessica Leafstone and Krysta Kittoe are the composite artists for the Tucson Police Department Forensic Art Unit and are available to aid other agencies with composite drawings.  To contact Jessica, send her an email at
